Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
Blood sample collection and serological analysis The blood (4mL) will be collected by peripheral vein puncture, by a trained professional, using tubes without anticoagulant. After collection, the tubes will be centrifuged to obtain the serum. The serum will be aliquoted and stored in microtubes at -200C until the immunoassay for IgG anti for T. gondii (Toxoplasmosis). The syringes and needles will be disposed of in biological waste in a box of sharp and cutting material. The immunoassay assay (ELISA) will be performed for the detection of IgG antibodies. To evaluate the reproducibility of ELISA-IgG, samples of approximately 10% of the sera studied will be selected randomly and processed in duplicate.

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
Mobility The Time Up and Go (TUG) test is valid and reliable for quantifying functional mobility, which can also be useful in clinical follow-up. It is a quick test and requires no special equipment or training. Individuals will be instructed to get up from a chair, walk 3 meters, perform the turn, return towards the chair and sit on it again. The test will be modified and will be applied with a double task (two simultaneous tasks, which will consist of walking and carrying a disposable plastic cup with 1/3 of water and walking and randomly speaking fruit names).;Functional capacity The instrument (Short Physical Performance Battery- SPPB) will be applied, which is used to assess functional capacity through the balance test, gait speed and strength of lower limbs. This instrument has been validated and adapted for the Brazilian population. The scores are from 0 to 12, with the following classification according to the score: 0 to 3 points: disability or poor ability; 4 to 6 points: low capacity; 7 to 9 points: moderate capacity and 10 to 12 points: good capacity.;Falls The Falls Efficacy Scale-International-Brazil (FES-I Brazil) instrument is an adapted and validated instrument in Brazil and presents questions about the concern with the possibility of falling when performing 16 activities, with respective scores from one to four. The total score ranges from 16 to 64; the lowest value corresponds to the absence of concern due to the possibility of falling, and the highest value corresponds to the extreme concern in relation to falls during socialization and daily life activities (basic and instrumental) and tasks related to postural control. A score ? 23 points suggests an association with a history of sporadic falls, and a score ?31 points suggests an association with a recurrent fall. ;Body sway It will be performed through posturography performed using a force platform, which aims to measure the body sway, the body sway speed, as well as the body displac
