Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
Increased chewing efficiency assessed by chewing artificial food pieces evaluated by the method of sieves after rehabilitation with the implant-supported prosthesis.

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
Improved treatment satisfaction after implant placement and preparation of dentures lower fixed on them. This will be verified by through questionnaires with questions regarding stability, retention, chewing ability, phonetic and aesthetic limitations. Through scales the scores defined by the participants in their responses will be transformed into a classification of satisfaction with treatment.;Improvement of nutritional status. The analysis instrument of nutritional status to be used in this study will be the Mini Nutritional Assessment Short Form. The final score of this instrument will identify the nutritional status.;Assessment of bone maintenance - peri-implant bone resorption. To conducting evaluations of the bone level around the implants standardized periapical radiographs will be realized. The final measurement of radiography and comparison in the different times will provide data that indicate increased bone resorption or peri-implant bone maintenance.;Increased quality of life verified by applying the OHIP-14 questionnaire, simplified version of the questionnaire Oral Healh Impact Profile. The final score will be evaluated to define the increase or decrease in the oral health impact on quality of life after the intervention.;Maintenance of the bone height in the posterior region of the mandible verified by measurements performed on imaging tests compared to the examination performed before implant installation on implants.;Success of the implants checked through the therapeutic success in dental implants in the follow-up times from the observation of survival of the implants in good biological and functional conditions.
