Interventions

Two groups, each with 10 volunteers aged 12 years and over, will receive deodorized fish oil (1000 mg) and mineral oil capsules as placebo (1000 mg) for ingestion in the morning, with water for 60 day

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Patients with uncontrolled steatorrhea and vomiting will not be included in the study. In addition to those who are taking anti-inflammatory drugs (non-steroids - ANES and corticosteroids), antibiotics or those with serious diseases, kidney, liver, etc.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Patients who discontinue supplements for 7 consecutive days and who fail to follow any guidelines given for the study will be excluded from the study.

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
Improvement of acne lesions on the face, with reduction in the number of characteristic lesions: comedones, papules and pustules.

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
Improvement of nutritional, biochemical-inflammatory and metabolic profile. Reduction of fat percentage, body mass index, insulin resistance, with reduction of the glucose to insulin ratio, by HOMA-IR; reduction of blood concentration of free testosterone, C-reactive protein, subjective evaluation, tumor necrosis factor, fructosamine. Increased blood concentration of serum zinc and magnesium.
