Design outcomes
Primary
| Measure | Time frame |
|---|---|
| The primary outcome is an improvement in lung compliance of at least 10% with the pulmonary hyperinflation maneuver associated with a Peep valve. | — |
Secondary
| Measure | Time frame |
|---|---|
| Higher oxygen saturation index and shorter mechanical ventilation time (categorized as extubation greater or less than 72 hours after surgery) in the Manual Hyperinflation technique associated with Peep valve and no hemodynamic repercussions in manual hyperinflation maneuver with or without the Peep valve. | — |
