Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Volunteers with gastroesophageal reflux disease; both genders; age between 20 and 60 years; with symptoms of regurgitation and heartburn; with result of digestive endoscopy without other changes in the esophagus.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Volunteers with other changes in the esophagus; diagnosis of neurological, immunological, neoplastic and drug users for coronary diseases.

To demonstrate the influence of the anti-reflux mattress adapter in reducing the intensity of nocturnal gastroesophageal reflux, verified by the 48-hour pHmetry, from the observation between the day the volunteer slept with the anti-reflux mattress adapter and the day he slept without the anti-reflux mattress adapter.—
