Eligibility
Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: Children and teenagers; both genders; Brazilians literate in Portuguese; who did not need emergency dental care; who had dental anxiety; it will also be essential that both children/adolescents and parents/guardians are interested in self-help therapy for inclusion in the study
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: Individuals who are undergoing psychiatric/psychological treatment or who have some limitation that makes it difficult for them to understand the guides will be excluded from the sample

| It is expected to reduce anxiety levels regarding dental treatment, verified through the Wilcoxon Test for the analysis of anxiety related to certain more invasive dental procedures. Baseline and follow-up Modified Dental Anxiety Scale scores will be analyzed using the paired t-test. To measure the mean differences between the two groups, the effect size will be analyzed using Cohen's d Effect Size (ES), with a finding of at least 5% variation in pre- and post-intervention measurements. | — |

| It is expected to find an improvement in the cooperation of children and adolescents during dental care, verified through the Modified of Frankl's behavior rating scale (FBRS), by which the patient can have his behavior classified as ''Definitely negative'', '' Negative'', ''Positive'' and ''Definitely positive''.
