Age
18 Years to 49 Years

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Adult patients; with or without diabtes mellitus; with endodontic treatment indication in permanent molars, diagnosed with irreversible pulpitis; have contact number to be able to perform the postoperative evaluations.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Pregnant patients; administering any medication when treatment; immunocompromised; with hypersensitivity to non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs; patients who have teeth with endodontic complications (calcifications, external or internal resorption, partial formation of apical summit with dental drilling, with longitudinal or vertical fractures and severe periodontal disease); patients who can not have endodontic treatment completed in the same session; Patients who for any reason can not be contacted by phone for the evaluation of pain after endodontic treatment.

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
Presence or absence of postoperative pain after endodontic treatment using Waveone system in patients with or without diabetes mellitus type 2, which will be verified by two scores measuring pain, numerical and verbal description.

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
Success of endodontic treatment until after one year of proservation, which will be verified by Ørstavik periapical index (PAI).;Quality of life related to oral health after endodontic treatment, using the OHIP-14 questionnaire.;Influence of predictor variables (age, sex, tooth, prior dentin sensitivity) on the primary outcome variable of pain after endodontic treatment, verified by history taken before performing the treatment.
