Eligibility
Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: Age group with a minimum age of 65 years; both sexes; diagnosis of Parkinson's disease at stage 1, 2 or 3 of the Hoehn and Yahr Scale Scale; and without previous speech-language pathology treatment of the voice in the last year with technological resources of Photobiomodulation and Stimulation Transcranial Direct Current (tDCS)
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: Other associated vocal alterations (detected by previous otorhinolaryngological evaluation); hearing loss; previous acquired brain injuries; general health, cognitive and/or psychiatric conditions that limit the comprehension or performance of the tasks to be performed
Design outcomes
Primary
| Measure | Time frame |
|---|---|
| Evaluate the voice of elderly people with PD using the Visual Analogue Scale, through auditory perceptual assessment; It is expected to find better results in the auditory perceptual evaluation of the voice, with the presentation of the parameters (numbers, percentages, indices, etc.) used to verify whether the outcome really occurred according to the use of the Auditory Perceptual Voice Analysis method ( Visual Analog Scale (VAS): Normal Variability: 35.5 points; Deviation Intensity: Mild: from 35.6 to 50.5; Moderate: 50.6 to 90.5; Intense: from 90.6%) ; Evaluate the acoustic aspects of the voice of elderly people with PD through the acoustic analysis of vocal parameters, with the Voxmetria5 program (CTS Informática). It is expected to find improved results with the method used to verify the expected outcome for vocal parameters with the following references: Fundamental Frequency: F0 Fem: 150 to 250Hz; F0 Masc: 80 to 150Hz; Jitter:0.5%; Shimmer: 3%; Vocal Intensity: Male: 64dB; Female: 65dB; Harmonic Ratio -Noise: Masc: 10.17 dB; Emf: 8.63 dB; F0 variability in PD: 5.2; Reference value (normal) CPP / vowel /e/ - 24.86 - 49.72;CPP / phrase - 18.84- 37.68; CPPS / vowel /e/ - 14.01- 28.02; CPPS / sentence - 11.98 - 23.96; DAI / vowel /e/ and phrase - 0.5-0.0 | — |

| Evaluate the perception of elderly people with PD through the application of vocal self-perception questionnaires: QVV- Quality of Life and Voice Questionnaire. It is expected to find better results in vocal self-perception regarding quality of life and voice. To check whether the outcome occurred, quantification of the results will be used by comparing with the QVV indices: From 0 to 100; the closer to 100, the better quality of life. Reference value: 89.6 points. 2- Evaluate the perception of elderly people with PD regarding the application of the Vocal Symptoms questionnaire, Vocal Symptoms Scale - ESV. It is expected to find better results in vocal self-perception regarding vocal symptoms. To verify whether the outcome occurred, quantification of the results will be used using the ESV indices - Vocal Symptoms Scale: Total score - 49.4; Limitation score - 30.1; Emotional score - 8.8; Physical score - 10.4, with reference value: 16 points;Evaluate the symptoms presented by elderly people with PD by applying the ROMP - Speech - Radboud Oral Motor Inventory for Parkinson's disease (ROMP) questionnaire. It is expected to find better results in symptoms that refer to speech. To verify whether the outcome occurred, quantification of the results will be used by comparing with the ROMP-speech indices: ROMP - Radboud Oral Motor Inventory for Parkinson's disease; Maximum value: 115 points; Minimum value: 23 points | — |
