Eligibility

Age
1 Years to 15 Years

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Patients of both genders; aged between 1 and 15 years; patients that presented interproximal radiographs taken between 2011 and 2020; the most recent radiograph from each region will be included as a measurement reference for the analysis;

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Interproximal radiographs that are not angled perpendicular to the tooth; are not of good quality; Individual sites in which the cementoenamel junction (CEJ) or alveolar bone crest (BC) are not visible; the presence of overlapping structures that make the evaluation unfeasible; deciduous molars that are exfoliating with extensive root resorption

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
Linear measurement (in millimeters) of the distance between the cementoenamel junction and the alveolar bone crest, measured from the imageJ computer program on interproximal digital radiographs.

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
Presence or absence of radiographic bone loss on interproximal radiographs. Distances between the cementoenamel junction and the bone crest greater than 2 mm will be considered a periodontal bone loss.
