Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Volunteers who suffered ischemic stroke; of both genders; age between 30 and 60 years; sequelae of hemiparesis for at least 6 months

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Volunteers who had other illnesses not related to the stroke; those who were in the acute or subacute phase of the disease; those who suffered a hemorrhagic stroke; hemiplegics; amputees; wheelchair users or orthotics; visually and/or hearing impaired; those who could not understand or respond to data collection instruments

Presentation of the expected outcome: Evaluate, through the Berg Balance Scale and the 10m Gait Speed ??Test, whether there will be significant differences in the balance of the volunteers, between the pre- and post-intervention situations. The data obtained were evaluated using the SPSS 17.0® statistical package method, using the Shapiro Wilk test to assess data normality. Based on this, the Wilcoxon test was used for intragroup analysis and the Mann-Whitney test for intergroup analysis, considering a significance level of p < 0.05. ;Outcome 1: After the interventions, both the GTE and the GRV showed significant improvements in static, functional and dynamic balance. In the GTE, there was a statistical increase in the BSE score and a decrease in the time to gait through the TVM10m, as well as in the GRV, which, in addition to the increase in the BSE, substantially decreased the gait speed, suggesting the effectiveness of the proposed intervention. Regarding postural balance, evaluated by the BBS, significant differences were observed when comparing the pre- and post-intervention situations for both the GTE (p=0.02) and the GRV (p=0.008), with no statistically significant difference when analyzing the delta of variation between both (p=0.57).;Outcome 2: When considering the gait speed, seen through the TVM10m, significant differences can be seen between the pre and post-intervention situations for the GTE (p= 0.02), as well as for the GRV (p= 0.008 ), however, when comparing the delta of variation between the groups, a statistically significant difference was observed between them (p= 0.002). Thus, the group of volunteers who received treatment with Virtual Rehabilitation showed a superior performance when compared to the GTE.
