Interventions

The intervention was constituted through the application of brief interventions, which are actions aimed at changing the behavior of the individual user of alcohol and/or other drugs. The study was co
(ii) verification of levels of motivation to change behavior in relation to alcohol use
(iii) non-randomized clinical trial
(iv) conducting brief interventions via video call and qualitative interview
(v) Post-test
(vi) reassessment of consumption. The control group consisted of 52 participants and the experimental group, 56. The Control Group received no intervention.

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Be 18 years of age or older; both sexes; and agree to participate in all stages of the research

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Pregnant women; people with difficulty accessing the internet or mobile phone; incomplete questionnaires; and participants in the pilot study

Expected outcome 1 - It is expected to find a reduction in the frequency and amount of alcohol consumed, using the method of brief interventions via video call, based on the finding of a significant variation in pre- and post-intervention measurements.;Outcome found 1 - A reduction in the frequency and amount of alcohol was found three months after the brief intervention was offered via video call, based on the finding of a significant variation in pre- and post-intervention measurements.
