Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Volunteers with neuropathic ulcer due to diabetes accompanied at the General Hospital of Fortaleza; both genders; non smokers; age above 18 years;

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Volunteer smokers; Diagnosis of cancer; Diagnosis of hepatic pathologies

MeasureTime frame
Expected outcome 1: Improved healing of neuropathic ulcers by diabetes in the group using ointment with Symphytum officinale compared to the group using the hydrogel cream, evaluated by degree of retraction of the lesion, from the equation formulated by Prata et al . (1988): A = pi.R.r, with at least 50% increase in ulcer retraction. Data collected just before the intervention and 6 weeks after the intervention.—
