Interventions

Including 10 subjects with cleft lip and palate, randomly divided into 5 subjects in the Water Group and 5 subjects in the Respiron Group. The training protocol was carried out in 6 weeks, once a week

Eligibility

Age
3 Years to 12 Years

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Subjects with Cleft Lip and/or Palate; aged between three and 12 years; corrected by surgery of cheiloplasty and palatoplasty

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Patients with cleft lip and palate who had any other associated malformation; those with intellectual disability.

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
Improvement of respiratory muscle capacity and strength through respiratory evaluation with manovacuometer and peak flow.

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
Maintenance of respiratory muscle capacity and strength after three months of training.
