Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: Elderly individuals from local health units and the community; aged 60 years or older; of both sexes; capable of independent ambulation; with medical authorization to practice exercise; literate (able to read and write); able to understand verbal instructions for performing the tests; accessible to participate in training; and with a score >17 on the Montreal Cognitive Assessment (MoCA)
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: Diagnosis of dementia; participation in a physical exercise program in the three months prior to the start of the research

| To analyze and compare the responses of different physical training models (water aerobics and multicomponent gymnastics) on the cognition of older adults. The cognitive assessments used the following instruments: Montreal Cognitive Assessment (MoCA), Tablet-Based Cognitive Assessment Tool (TabCAT), Toolkit to Examine Lifelike Language (TELL), Verbal Fluency Test (VFT), Reaction Time Test (RTT) and Trail Making Test (TT). The mean differences of the groups between the pre- and post-training periods will be analyzed. | To analyze and compare the responses of different physical training models (water aerobics and multicomponent gymnastics) related to the biochemical responses of elderly individuals. From a fasting blood sample, the outcomes of glycemia, total cholesterol, triglycerides, High Density Lipoproteins (HDL), Low Density Lipoproteins (LDL) were analyzed. The mean differences of the groups between the pre and post training periods will be analyzed. In addition, the 1% change will be used to evaluate clinically significant change in individual responsiveness to training;To analyze and compare the responses of different physical training models (water aerobics and multicomponent gymnastics) on physical and functional outcomes in elderly individuals. The battery of assessments consisted of: handgrip strength; functional mobility; lower limb muscle strength; gait speed; static balance with eyes open and eyes closed; peak oxygen consumption; muscle thickness and quality; maximum isometric strength with neuromuscular activity; and kinematic and kinetic gait variables. The mean differences between the groups between the pre- and post-training periods will be analyzed.
