18 Years to No maximum

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Be 18 years of age or older; male or female with a confirmed diagnosis of multiple myeloma; have a medical indication for oncological treatment; and be able to read and understand the contents of the informed consent form as well as the study procedures

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Having previously undergone treatment for multiple myeloma; Eastern Cooperative Oncology Group performance status scale scored as 4; having one or more musculoskeletal or neuromuscular impairments that prevent the execution of the research protocol; not having anyone available to assist with performing the exercises at home

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
Improvements are expected in quality of life according to the SF-36; improvements are also expected in physical functionality (6-minute walk test; sit-to-stand test; and handgrip strength test)

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
Changes are expected in the overall response rate; changes are expected in progression-free survival; an increase in overall survival is expected; changes are expected in the depression and anxiety scale (HADS); changes are expected in the fatigue scale (FACT-F); changes are expected in the assessment of muscle mass and visceral fat by imaging; and changes are expected in the evaluation of the immune system
