18 Years to 40 Years

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Men with HIV who have started antiretroviral therapy for at least 6 months; medical certificate releasing the practice of physical exercise; age between 18 and 40 years; physically active; and cell count of T lymphocytes cluster of differentiation 4 (T CD4) above 350 cells/mm³. For subjects without HIV, all criteria for people living with HIV will be used, with the exception of antiretroviral therapy and presence of HIV

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: People with HIV who have some musculoskeletal limitation that prevents them from carrying out the exercise; cardiovascular diseases; illicit drug users and/or smokers; alcoholics; do not comply with recommendations for carrying out assessments; and who do not complete the experimental protocol

It is expected to find a difference in the count of immune cells (leukocytes, lymphocytes, CD4, CD8, CD19, CD56) when compared to the HIV groups (HIITxMICT), for a lower cell count for the HIIT group after 24 hours of physical exercise, but not when comparing the HIVxWithout HIV (HIITxHIIT) groups, using the hemogram and immunophenotyping methods for analysis of immune cells.;It is expected to find a difference in the function of lymphocytes from the production of cytokines (IL-2, IL-4, IL-10, TNF alpha and Interferon Gamma) in cell culture, when comparing the HIV groups (HIITxMICT), for a lower cell count for the HIIT group after 24 hours of physical exercise, but not when compared to the HIVxWithout HIV (HIITxHIIT) groups, using the methods of cell culture and flow cytometry to analyze the production of lymphocytes.

A greater reduction of cardiac autonomic control at rest is expected with a lower parasympathetic activity for the HIIT group when compared to MICT in people living with HIV and for the HIIT (HIV) group when compared to HIIT (without HIV), evaluated through the heart rate variability, using a Polar H10 heart rate transmitter together with the Elite HRV smartphone application, being analyzed at times: before exercise, immediately after and 24 hours after the end of exercise.
