| Through the method of evaluating masticatory cycles, quality of life questionnaires (OHIP-Edent and GOHAI), and bite force, between the two types of overdentures fixation (o-ring and locator), the masticatory performance was similar in both types of fixation, increasing according to the number of masticatory cycles, considering the level of significance of the data at 5%.;Both types of fixation of overdentures were exchanged. The method of evaluating masticatory cycles and quality of life questionnaires (OHIP-Edent and GOHAI) and bite force observed that the masticatory performance and the quality of life were similar in both fixation types. In evaluating the bite force, the O-ring system presented a superior behavior to the Locator, considering the data's level of significance in 5%. | — |
