Interventions

This is a randomized, controlled, two-arm, double-blind, split-mouth clinical trial. Experimental group: 40 surgical sites corresponding to impacted maxillary third molars will receive local anaesthes

Age

18 Years to 30 Years

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Male or female participants aged between 18 and 30 years; No known allergy to 4% articaine with 1:100,000 epinephrine; Body weight greater than 30 kg; In good general health at the time of enrolment and presence of an impacted distoangular maxillary third molar

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Systemic diseases even if controlled; Neurological or psychiatric disorders; Regular use of anti-inflammatory drugs; History of photosensitivity; Acute pericoronitis; Advanced periodontal disease; Pregnant or breastfeeding women
