Design outcomes
Primary
| Measure | Time frame |
|---|---|
| Improved contractility of 10% of thigh, vastus lateralis and vastus medialis muscles in patients participating in the Whey Protein group associated with Neuromuscular Electrical Stimulation. The method used to evaluate the contractility of these muscles will be surface electromyography. | — |
Secondary
| Measure | Time frame |
|---|---|
| Reduction of the joint and systemic inflammatory process, which will be verified through the analysis of blood cytokines. ;Better balance of volunteers belonging to the Whey Protein group associated with quadriceps femoral electrical stimulation, this outcome will be analyzed through baropodometry.;Better thigh trophism in the Whey Protein group associated with electrical stimulation, this outcome will be analyzed through thigh perimetry. | — |
