Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
Expected outcome 1: sealant / restoration integrity assessment performed by clinical criteria based on functional and biological parameters proposed by the FDI (Hickel et al., 2010). Scores 1 to 3 indicate success, and scores 4 and 5 indicate failure. The worst score among all evaluated parameters will be considered

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
Expected outcome 2: To compare the effectiveness of selants and restorations in stopping caries progression in sealed and restorations lesions by measuring techniques from bite-wing radiographic examinations at baseline and at the end.
