Age
60 Years to 100 Years

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Both genders; age over 60; nonspecific low back pain for at least 3 months; pain intensity equal to or greater than 3 cm

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Specific low back pain; neurological involvement (radiculopathy or myelopathy); previous spine surgery; impediment to performing exercises; recent surgery; being under treatment for low back pain; body mass index (BMI) greater than or equal to 27; not being able cognitive to perform the exercises or be submitted to the proposed evaluations; missing the attendance three times in a row

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
Pain below 3 measured by visual analogue pain scale, functional disability up to 20% assessed by the Oswestry disability index

Secondary

Kinesiophobia at 17 points assessed using the Tampa scale for kinesiophobia, confidence in balance for specific activities up to 20% assessed using the ABC scale, greater activation of the transverse abdomen muscle assessed using the pressure biofeedback unit stabilizer
