Age
18 Years to 80 Years

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Participants should have had an episode of ischemic stroke for at least 6 months, be between 18 and 80 years old, absence of joint blockages in the upper and lower limbs, ability to walk for 6 minutes independently and get on mini-examination of mental status score according to level of schooling.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Symptomatic cardiac arrhythmia (atrial fibrillation in anticoagulation), uncontrolled arterial hypertension (at the examiner's discretion), decompensated heart failure (functional class 2, 3 or 4), severe respiratory disorders (chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, pneumonia ), impossibility of attending the appointments and non-signing of the informed consent form.

MeasureTime frame
We hope to demonstrate that aerobic physical exercise improves the motor function of the paretic upper limb in chronic hemiparetic patients through the qualitative WolfMotor Function (WMFT) scales (improving the maximum score obtained) and quantitative (improving the time for performing the proposed functional tasks) , decreasing the EMG signal, indicating that it will require less electrical activation to perform the extension and flexion of the paretic wrist, higher score in the Fugl-Meyer Assesment (FMA) scale, indicative of recovery from hemiparesis, and increase in palmar grip strength obtained by palmar grip strength dynamometry.

MeasureTime frame
We hope to demonstrate through the 10-meter walking tests (decrease in speed to go 10 meters) and 6 minutes (increase in distance traveled), that aerobic physical exercise improves walking speed and capacity. We also expect participants to improve the scale score to assess quality of life, which will be demonstrated through the Stroke Specific Quality of Life (SSQOL) scale.
