In this cohort study, 40 patients already diagnosed with cerebral arteriovenous malformation will be followed up, in agreement with the Informed Consent Form for the project.

Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: Volunteers with brain arteriovenous malformation; age over 18 years; both sexes
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: Absence of indication for surgical treatment

| Describe epidemiological and clinical data of patients treated by the institution's vascular neurosurgery group;Compare outcomes, both clinical and radiological, with other similar studies in the literature;Describe in detail the findings in DNA methylation and histone acetylation tests in collected pathological specimens;Describe in detail the DNA mutations found by the exome technique and compare with the prevalence of somatic mutations in the general population;Follow-up patients for one year after resection to describe late findings of complications related to the surgical procedure (i.e., infection, hydrocephalus, recurrence of injury) | — |
