Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Ophthalmologist volunteers; both genders; no age restrictions; no previous experience with the scleral fixation technique of the Akreos lens with GoreTex sutures

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Ophthalmologist volunteers with previous experience in the technique of scleral fixation of the 4-haptic scleral lens fixation (Akreos® - Bausch Lomb) using polytetrafluoroethylene sutures (GoreTex®)

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
It is expected to find a similar number between the experimental group (telementoring) and the control group (face to face), when comparing the Global Score of the procedure (sum of the scores of each surgical step evaluated in a Likert scale of 1-3 by two independent, experienced and blinded surgeons).

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
It is expected to find a similar result between the experimental group (telementoring) and the control group (face to face), when comparing the success rate of the procedure (judgment by the mentor at the end of each training). A greater number of technical limitations related to image transmission, internet connection and audio problems are expected in the experimental group (telementorship). It is expected that the mean surgical time of the procedures (measured from the beginning of training to the end of the last surgical step) is longer in the experimental group (telementorship)
