This is an open-label, non-randomized clinical trial conducted in a school setting involving 40 adolescents aged 12 to 17 years enrolled at the Instituto Federal Sul-Rio-Grandense (IFSul), Gravataí Ca
maximum heart rate. Saliva samples will be collected at two time points: at the beginning of the intervention, before the first exercise session and immediately after the third session on the same day

Age
12 Years to 17 Years

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Students regularly enrolled at the Instituto Federal Sul-Rio-Grandense (IFSul), Gravataí Campus; aged 12 to 17 years at study enrollment; regular school attendance with a minimum attendance rate of 75%; written Assent Form signed by the participant; written Informed Consent Form signed by a parent or legal guardian

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Age below 12 years or above 17 years at screening; absence of a signed Assent Form and/or written Informed Consent Form; clinical or motor conditions preventing the safe performance of the proposed physical activities according to self-report or baseline health assessment; participation in regular structured physical training programs that may interfere with the study outcomes; school attendance below 75% during the intervention period; voluntary withdrawal by the participant or withdrawal requested by a parent or legal guardian

Changes in salivary levels of interleukin 6 (IL-6), interleukin 10 (IL-10), tumor necrosis factor alpha (TNF-a), interleukin 1 beta (IL-1ß), C-reactive protein (CRP), and monocyte chemoattractant protein-1 (MCP-1), determined by laboratory analyses using saliva samples collected before the intervention and after the 12-week SNACK EXERCISE program
