Interventions

Randomized-controlled, double-blind. Experimental group: 17 physically active men, with no history of recent injuries to the lower limbs, who were submitted to a muscular effort protocol of running do
2) Assessment of architectural parameters and muscle quality by means of ultrasonography (with 3 repeated measurements for each point to be analyzed: tibialis anterior, vastus lateralis and rectus fem
3) Determination of general and specific TMD by means of algometry (anterior tibialis, vastus lateralis and rectus femoris)
4) Performing a maximum progressive test on a treadmill
5) Evaluation of concentric and eccentric torque of knee extensors and flexors using an isokinetic dynamometer
6) Carrying out the simulated downhill run
7) Application of the intermittent pneumatic compression boot on one of the limbs and therapeutic ultrasound as a placebo on the opposite limb. (paired draw) for 30 minutes, with a standard pressure o

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: People from 18 years to 30 years old; men; physically active; without comorbidities; available to participate in all stages of the research.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Individuals who have a history of musculoskeletal injuries in the lower limbs or who make; impossible to carry out the actions proposed in the study; who have cardiovascular diseases and hypertension; who have not used caffeine 2 hours before the evaluation will not participate in the study; who will not sign the consent form of the search.

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
It is expected to find an improvement in the functional performance capacity in the aspects of pain, torque generation, muscle quality, evaluated by performance with the use of the algometer, jumping platform and isokinetic, and echointensity. Collected during 5 days of intervention and compared to each other.
