Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
It is expected to find a modulation in the plasma content of brain-derived neurotrophic factor (BDNF) in eight weeks by means of enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA), reverse transcription followed by real-time polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) and western blot, based on the finding of a variation of at least 30% in pre- and post-intervention measurements.

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
Attenuation of inflammatory biomarkers in eight weeks, by means of an enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) based on the finding of a variation of at least 5% in pre- and post-intervention measurements.;Decrease in the score of depressive symptoms in eight weeks, through the application of the Beck Depression Inventory, based on the finding of a variation of at least 5% in the pre- and post-intervention measurements.
