Age
21 Years to 60 Years

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Unirradicular tooth of patients requiring endodontic treatment; teeth with pulp necrosis and presence of periapical lesion; need for endodontic retreatment; age range from 21 to 60 years of age, favorable health conditions, local and systemic; unirradicular teeth with unsatisfactory prior endodontic treatment performed 3 years ago or more; presence of periapical lesion visible

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Periodontal disease; root fracture, exposure of the pulp chamber to the mouth; patients who used antifungals and antibiotics in the period of three months before the endodontic treatment; impossibility of absolute isolation were not included

Microbial load and microbiological identification, by microbial culture and Checkerboard test and statistical analysis; Quantification of endotoxin (UE / mL) and lipoteichoic acid (LTA) levels, by LAL assay and ELISA and statistical analysis;(CFU / mL) and microbiological profile with clinical signs and symptoms and periapical lesion volume (mm³), using concomitant computed tomography (CBCT); by laboratory, signs and symptons submitted to statistical analysis;Relation of endotoxin and LTA levels with clinical signs and symptoms and volume of CBCT lesions, by laboratory, signs and symptoms and volume of the lesion analysis submitted to statistical analysis
