Eligibility

Age
18 Years to 70 Years

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 40 male or female volunteers; age between 18 and 70 years; limited range of motion of the wrist or elbow after upper limb fracture healing.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: More than one year after the injury; neurological changes in muscle function.

MeasureTime frame
It was expected a gain of 20° degrees in range of motion of flexion-extension of wrist and elbow. To the movements of pronation and supination of the elbow and wrist radial and ulnar deviation, it was expected a gain of 10° degrees of range of motion.;A gain of 30 degrees has been found in both flexion-extension range of motion of wrist and elbow. To the movements of pronation and supination of the elbow and wrist radial and ulnar deviation, the expected results were found. There was no difference between groups and / or articulation.

MeasureTime frame
To assess pain and function at the wrist were used respectively the Numerical Pain Scale and the Disabilities of Arm, Shoulder and Hand Questionnaire. To assess pain and function at the elbow were used respectively the Numerical Pain Scale and the Oxford Elbow Score questionnaire. Assessing pain it was expected, both elbow and wrist, a decrease of 4 points; the analysis of the functionality expected an average variation of 40 points on wrist evaluation and 15 points on elbow evaluation.;Pain and functionality outcomes remained within expected in project with no difference between groups and / or articulation.
