Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Patients with a history of allergy to local anesthetics, corticosteroids and starch. Patients who used analgesics or anti-inflammatories 12 hours before the procedure. Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
Expected outcome 1 : It is expected that prior use of dexamethasone 4mg in endodontic treatments with foraminal enlargement will be effective in controlling post-treatment pain, in approximately 50% of the treatments regardless of the initial diagnosis, evaluated through analogue scales. Data will be collected 24, 48, 72 hours and 1 week after treatment.

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
Expected outcome 2 : Patients with pain before treatment have a higher index of pain after treatment even with the use of dexamethasone 4mg. Evaluated through analog scales. Data will be collected 24, 48, 72 hours and 1 week after treatment.
