Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: Have physical limitations, or diseases that compromise the practice of physical exercise;to present cardiovascular diseases with associated complications that prevent the practice of physical exercise;present severe psychiatric illness (major depression);present neurological diseases: stroke , transient ischemic accident, head injury, Parkinson's and Alzheimer's disease; intake of anti-inflammatory drugs, erythropoietin and acetylcholinesterase inhibitors drug addiction ,alcoholism and illicit drugs communication and visual impairment that prevent the practice of physical exercise exhibiting vertigo;any osteomioarticular injury during the intervention period
Design outcomes
Primary
| Measure | Time frame |
|---|---|
| To evaluate the effects of increased muscle mass obtained through water-resisted exercise on cognitive, inflammatory, and redox biology parameters, balance, level of physical activity, and genetics at different levels of sarcopenia. It is expected that these will evolve positively from the finding of a variation of at least 10% in the measurements before and after 6 months of intervention. | — |
Secondary
| Measure | Time frame |
|---|---|
| It is expected to find an increase in muscle mass density, measured by the X-ray Double Densitometry (DEXA) method, from the finding of a variation of at least 10% in measurements before and after 6 months of intervention. | — |
