Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Participants who report previous orthodontic treatment; who use a prosthesis or implant; who present any physical or intellectual condition that prevents subjective pain assessment

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
None of the therapies evaluated demonstrated effectiveness in controlling the pain caused by elastomeric separators, nor was any efficacy observed in controlling inflammation, as the levels of inflammatory mediators showed no significant regulation

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
No secondary outcomes are expected.
