Interventions

Enterocystoplasty without ureteral reimplantation was performed in 17 patients (9 female 8 male
ranging from 7 to 20 years old). All had a diagnosis of Neurogenic Bladder and also varying degrees of Vesicoureteral Reflux. Reflux was diagnosed and followed up by voiding urethrocystography. Pre- a

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Patients over 20 years old; not with Neurogenic Bladder and Vesiureteral Reflux

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
All patients who underwent Enterocystoplasty without ureteral reimplantation had ceased vesicoureteral reflux and preserved renal function.;All patients submitted to Enterocystoplasty without ureteral reimplantation had cessation of Vesicoureteral Reflux, diagnosed by voiding urethrocystography three months after the procedure.

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
Renal function was assessed by static renal scintigraphy with DMSA showing a Relative Tubular Function of the kidneys. In this case, the kidney should have a rate higher than 45% to be normal. If it were below this value, there would be a decrease in the relative tubular function.;In all cases, there was preservation of the Relative Tubular Function, that is, there was no progression of the kidney injury after the surgical procedure.
