Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Parents/caregivers of at least one child from two to 12 years of age, with an established medical diagnosis of asthma and prescribed inhalation treatment, with or without the use of a spacer, who must be accompanied at the basic health unit, and have telephone contact. These must be at least 18 years of age.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Parents/caregivers with cognitive limitations that prevent them from participating in educational interventions or responding to research instruments.

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
A 30% increase in the sum of parents / caregivers' self-efficacy scores for childhood asthma control is expected, immediately after two months after the educational interventions.

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
It is expected a 30% decrease in the number of times the asthma crisis rescue medication was used by the child of parents / caregivers who participated in the interventions with the booklet or motivational interview (intervention groups), 2 months after the intervention. , compared to the group that did not participate in any intervention.
