Age
4 Years to 12 Years

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Children aged between 4 and 12 years old;A adenotonsillar hipertrophy; adenotonsillectomy indication for treatment of Apnea Obstructive Syndrom ou Recurrent Tonsilitis, caregiver able to give informed consent and to complete de Patient Diary reliably.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Patients with hematopoietic, cardiovascular, hepatic, kidney, neurological, psychiatric, autoimmune disease; patients that feel unable to complete the Patients´Diary.

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
Primary outcome 1. Postoperative vomiting, measured by occurrence ou not and in volume (ml) dailly until the 14th postoperative day. ;Primary outcome 2. Postoperative nausea, measured by the occurrence or not until the 14th posterative day.

Secondary outcome 1. Solid diet intake evaluated daily by occurrence ou not until the 14th postoperative day.;Secondary outcome 2. Postoperative bleeding evaluated daily by occurrence ou not until the 14th postoperative day.
