Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: The inclusion criteria for the participants will be: being recruited by outpatient clinics for adolescents and for mental disorders; be between 14 and 65 years old;have a telephone with an internet connection available; understand instructions on using the app.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: The exclusion criteria for participation in the research will be: cognitive deficit that does not allow the understanding of the free and informed consent term and the understanding of instructions for using the app; problems or inability to operate a smartphone touchscreen.

Primary outcome The psychoeducational intervention will be carried out with the objective of contributing to self-monitor symptoms of mood, sleep, use of tobacco, alcohol, drugs, addictive disorders, binge eating and physical activities and suicidal ideation. Aassessment to treatment adherence, quality of life and antropometric measures. Evaluation of adherence to app , weekly entries; Secundary outcome Evaluate at baseline and at 12-week app interventions with app or e-book Treatment adherence by Medication Adherence Rating Scale ; Anthropometric measures: weight, waist circunference, body mass index; Quality of life by The World Health Organization Quality of Life, Brief version (WH OQOL-BREF scale; Severity of depression by 17-item Hamilton Depression Rating Scale Severity of anxiety by Hamilton anxiety Scale Severity of psychiatric symptoms by Brief Psychiatric Rating Scale (BPRS) ; Severidade of nicotine dependece by Fagerström for nicotine dependence; Severity of binge eating

For twelve weeks these participants will answer weekly questions about mood, sleep quality, binge eating, alcohol use, drugs, games, eating disord. All participánts will receive “tips” on handling adversity, decision making, health plans action, healthy lifestyle through the application, being encouraged to interact with the instrument The application was developed by a multidisciplinary team under the direction of psychiatrists, nurses and graphic design, computer technicians. The app was registered under the name educarparaprevenir.com.br. The application will be freely available to research participants during the study and will be registered on the educarparaprevenir.com.br website and made by weblitenet.com.br. The app will be available for download from the official Android / iOS app stores. Registered www. educarparaprevenir.com.br.The EduPrev logo “Educating to prevent“. “Educating to prevent“, the term of ethics and the scales will be available on the website http: //educarapp-001-site1.mysitepanel.net/. The Edu-Prev app has the Computer Program Registration Certificate at the National Institute of Intellectual Property Process No.: BR512020001461-5. The clinical trial will be conducted from September 2021 to September 2023 and will include adolescents and individuals at risk for mental disorders and their families; Secundary Outcome Evaluation of which educational digital intervention (app or e-book) had best outcome to reduce waist circumference, body weight and severity of symptoms.
