Interventions
It is a cohort study composed of 600 pregnant women who will be followed until delivery to check the consequences of malaria during pregnancy. All patients were recruited from the public health system

Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: Pregnant women; minimum age of 13 years; all parity; any gestational age; who present or not infections by Plasmodium sp. in their gestation period.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: Pregnant women smokers; hypertension; diabetes; who had preeclampsia or eclampsia; show hemorrhage due to other diseases; multiple pregnancy; HIV infection.
