18 Years to 80 Years

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Users of Basic Health Units or Family Health Units in the city of Bauru without decompensated cardiovascular and/or pulmonary disease, and with no absolute contraindications for the practice of physical exercise (i.e.: acute myocardial infarction; unstable unstable angina; uncontrolled cardiac arrhythmias with hemodynamic repercussions; symptomatic severe aortic stenosis; uncontrolled symptomatic heart failure; acute pulmonary embolism or pulmonary infarction; myocarditis or acute pericarditis; acute aortic dissection).

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Age below 18 years or above 80 years.

Cardiovascular health profile for 5 years: it is expected that the participants in the physical exercise groups show better cardiovascular health profile when compared to the control group.;Arterial stiffness for 5 years: it is expected that the participants in the physical exercise groups show lower levels of arterial stiffness when compared to the control group.;Endothelial function for 5 years: it is expected that the participants in the physical exercise groups show better levels of endothelial function when compared to the control group.;Autonomic cardiac modulation for 5 years: it is expected that the participants of the physical exercise groups present better levels of cardiac autonomic modulation, with increased heart rate variability (HRV), reduced sympathetic indexes (low frequency) and increased parasympathetic indexes (high frequency), when compared to the control group.;Physical fitness for 5 years: it is expected that the participants of the physical exercise groups present better levels of cardiorespiratory and musculoskeletal fitness, when compared to the control group.;Functional capacity for 5 years: participants in the physical exercise groups are expected to have better levels of functional capacity (measured by the 6-minute walk, five time sit to stand and timed-up & go tests), when compared to the group control.;Quality of life and mood for 5 years: it is expected that the participants in the physical exercise groups have better levels of quality of life and mood when compared to the control group.;Morbidity and mortality over 5 years: it is expected that the participants in the physical exercise groups have lower morbidity (better control of pre-existing diseases, less incidence and better control of new diseases, fewer hospitalizations and fewer health problems), as well as lower mortality when compared to the control group. ;Health costs for 5 years: it is expected that the participants in the physical exercise groups have lower health-rela
