Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Elderly cooperatives; with good cognition; conscious; carriers of heart; metabolic; renal and hepatic diseases; obese; and sedentary women; who answered the Cardiovascular Risk Stratified Questionnaire and who agreed to the Free and Informed Consent Form.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Age less than 65 and greater than 85 years; with high cognitive deficit; tracheostomized; smokers; patients with respiratory and neurological diseases; chauffeured; bedridden; with dementia and that they exposed any conditions that prevented them to carry out the proposed exercises.

Design outcomes

MeasureTime frame
Improvement in the respiratory capacity of the elderly, assessed by spirometry examination with a 15% increase in respiratory amplitude. Data collected 1 day before the intervention and 1 day after the intervention.;Improvement in respiratory capacity, assessed by spirometry examination with an increase of more than 20% of the respiratory amplitude.
