Conditions

Low back pain

Interventions

This is a randomized clinical study, for the randomization of the groups, the participants will be ordered in ascending order according to the values of a test. Then, a sequence of random values will
(2) application of intermittent exercises, with emphasis on power, coordination and agility in circuit mode
(3) performance of multi-joint exercises for lower and upper limbs with recruitment of spinal stabilizer muscles, also organized in a circuit
(4) cardio metabolic activities. The dual task exercise group (GDT) composed of 30 elderly will be divided into five moments: (1) mobility exercises
(2) balance
(3) coordination
(4) cardiometabolic
(5) stretching/relaxation. The training will be held 3 times a week, for 1 hour each, for 16 weeks

Eligibility

Sex/Gender
Female
Age
60 Years to 79 Years

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Will be included in the research, women with a clinical diagnosis of nonspecific chronic low back pain, between 60 and 79 years old, with a complaint of low back pain for more than 3 months, a pain level greater than 3 on the numerical pain scale of 11 points and women in the same age group without low back pain and/or other type of chronic pain. Asymptomatic elderly women cannot have chronic low back pain and no episodes of pain in the last three months. Volunteers will also need to have a body mass index (BMI) <30 kg/m2, not have undergone spinal surgery; not exercising regularly; not doing physical therapy or other pain treatment; not to use analgesic, anti-inflammatory, opioid or immunosuppressive medication

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Exclusion criteria will be missing one of the assessments, more than 20% of the intervention or presenting any motor impairment (paraplegia, paraparesis, monoplegia, monoparesis, hemiplegia, hemiparesis), psychiatric (schizophrenia, epilepsy, severe depression) or cognitive (moderate mental retardation , severe and/or profound), auditory, visual or communication disorders that make it impossible to carry out the protocol. If there is any suspicion of a disability, the volunteer will be referred for evaluation by a general practitioner and, if confirmed, the participant will be referred to the physiotherapy, speech therapy and/or psychology departments at UFS for proper follow-up

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
The outcome will be to verify the effects of functional training and dual task training in the management of pain in elderly women with chronic low back pain

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
To evaluate the effects of functional training and dual task on the pressure pain threshold, temporal summation and conditioned pain modulation. To verify the effects of these training protocols on trunk stability, maximum isometric strength and endurance of the trunk musculature of elderly women with and no chronic low back pain. To analyze the effects of training on the inflammatory profile of volunteers
