Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: Active smokers; over 17 years old; living in Curitiba, Brazil; with a current consumption equal or superior to 10 cigarettes a day; that haven´t achieved smoking abstinence for more than three months in the last year; who express a desire to quit smoking and consent to participate in the study by signing the informed consent form (ICF).
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: The following will be excluded from the study: Alcoholics; drug addicts; patients taking medications for smoking cessation including buproprion, nicotine in any form of administration and vanericline. Illiterate will also be excluded.

| To evaluate point-prevalence smoking cessation at the end of the program using the method of exhaled carbon monoxide measurement of less than 10 ppm. ;To evaluate the eduction in the average number of cigarettes smoked per day in the last session of the program using as method the participants' report of average number of smoked cigarretes per day in the last weekend.;To evaluate the reduction in the average number of cigarettes smoked per day 12 weeks after the end of the program using as method the participants' report of average number of smoked cigarretes per day in the last weekend.;To evaluate the correlation between attendance in programs with cessation and reduction in the number of cigarettes smoked.;To evaluate the correlation between home skills practice with cessation and reduction in the number of cigarettes. To make this assessment we will ask patients to fill out a sheet reporting the exercises performed at home. | — |
