Age
18 Years to No maximum

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Individuals over the age of 18; of both sexes; capable of understanding and signing the Informed Consent Form (ICF); with teeth indicated for functional occlusion; with oral conditions compatible with restorative treatment; with at least 2 molars indicated for Class II restoration; with cavities measuring at least 4 mm; with margins of the cavo-superficial angle entirely supragingival; and whose teeth have not undergone prior endodontic treatment

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Pregnant women or women who are breastfeeding; individuals with active periodontal disease or oral infection; those with systemic or behavioral factors that may compromise oral health or the success of the restoration, such as active smoking, metabolic diseases, immunosuppression, or use of medications that interfere with healing or dental integrity; those with a known allergy to any component of the resin used; without active orthodontic treatment involving the selected teeth; and who have active clasps from removable partial dentures, intraoral devices, or prostheses that interfere with the selected teeth

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
Restorations fabricated using 3D-printed resin are expected to exhibit a high rate of clinical retention after cementation, in accordance with International Dental Federation functional criteria, with no clinically significant difference when compared to direct restorations fabricated using composite resin

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
It is expected that restorations made with 3D-printed resin will demonstrate satisfactory clinical performance over the evaluation period in terms of aesthetic, functional, and biological parameters, in accordance with International Dental Federation criteria, similar to direct composite resin restorations
