Design outcomes
Primary
| Measure | Time frame |
|---|---|
| Expected outcome 1: It is expected to find, from baseline to after 12 weeks of intervention, an increase in lean mass, with a greater magnitude of response in the supervised online training group compared to the non-supervised training group, assessed by dual-energy X-ray absorptiometry (DEXA);Observed outcome 1: It was observed, from baseline to after 12 weeks of intervention, an increase of approximately 3% in lean mass in the supervised online training group, while no increase was observed in the non-supervised training group, assessed by dual-energy X-ray absorptiometry (DEXA) | — |
Secondary
| Measure | Time frame |
|---|---|
| Expected outcome 2: It is expected to find, from baseline to after 12 weeks of intervention, a reduction in fat mass, with a greater magnitude of response in the supervised online training group compared to the non-supervised training group, assessed by dual-energy X-ray absorptiometry (DEXA);Observed outcome 2: It was observed, from baseline to after 12 weeks of intervention, a reduction of approximately 3.69% in fat mass in the supervised online training group, while an increase of approximately 0.28% was observed in the non-supervised training group, assessed by dual-energy X-ray absorptiometry (DEXA);Expected outcome 3: It is expected to find, from baseline to after 12 weeks of intervention, an increase in lower body strength, with a greater magnitude of response in the supervised online training group compared to the non-supervised training group, assessed by the one-repetition maximum test (1RM) in the leg press exercise;Observed outcome 3: It was observed, from baseline to after 12 weeks of intervention, an increase of approximately 28.42% in lower body strength in the supervised online training group, while an increase of approximately 12.11% was observed in the non-supervised training group, assessed by the one-repetition maximum test (1RM) in the leg press exercise;Expected outcome 4: It is expected to find, from baseline to after 12 weeks of intervention, an increase in handgrip strength, with a greater magnitude of response in the supervised online training group compared to the non-supervised training group, assessed by handgrip dynamometry;Observed outcome 4: It was observed, from baseline to after 12 weeks of intervention, an increase of approximately 7.85% in handgrip strength in the supervised online training group, while an increase of approximately 5.93% was observed in the non-supervised training group, assessed by handgrip dynamometry;Expected outcome 5: It is expected to find, from baseline to after 12 weeks of intervention, an increase in card | — |
