Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
It is expected to find a significantly greater improvement in expressive language among participants with expressive aphasia who receive real Transcranial Direct Current Stimulation combined with language therapy, compared to the control group that receives sham Transcranial Direct Current Stimulation combined with the same therapy. This improvement will be evaluated using the Montreal Toulouse test version M1-Alpha, considering the increase in the number of correct responses in naming, repetition, and verbal fluency tasks. Data are collected during the first session (initial assessment) and the twelfth session (final reassessment) of the intervention protocol

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
It is expected to observe, in comparison to the control group, a more pronounced improvement in functional communication aspects among participants in the experimental group, such as the ability to initiate and maintain verbal and non-verbal interactions during the application of language therapy, recorded through structured clinical observation during the sessions. These observations are analyzed based on the average performance across the twelve sessions of the study
