Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Will be considered eligible for research pregnant women, lactating women, and infants users of the public health network of the city of Ribeirão Preto - SP.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Women with a history of thyroid disease (hypothyroidism, hyperthyroidism, Hashimoto's disease and neoplasms) and / or thyroid surgery will not be included in the study.

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
Evaluate the nutritional status of iodine in the maternal and child group by the mean urinary iodine concentration (ICP-MS method), using the following parameters: <150 micrograms / liter for pregnant women and <100 micrograms / liter for lactating women and infants.

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
Evaluate the nutritional status of sodium and potassium in the maternal and child group using the urine sample (ICP-MS method). The urinary content of sodium and potassium will be worked on continuously
