Eligibility

Age
18 Years to 60 Years

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: The individual must be linked to one of the 14 ESF of the municipality of Santa Maria-RS; To present the Body Mass Index that classifies it as obese (BMI = weight / height2) equal to or greater than 30 kg / m2; Present indicative of depression to make up the group of depressed obese; Be between 18 and 60 years of age; Not performing physical activity (self reported) in the last 3 months. Not being on antidepressant medication at the start of the study

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Those individuals who present a medical contraindication for the performance of physical activity in the soil and / or water

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
Both exercise programs will bring benefits to the obese, with exercise in the water that will bring more benefits to the psychological, behavioral and biochemical conditions

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
After participating in the physical exercise program, the obese will adhere to a more active behavior, and will increase the level of physical activity assessed by IPAQ
