Eligibility

Age
18 Years to 80 Years

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: The study will include those have an age equal to or greater than 18 years; patients with a diagnosis of Diabetes mellitus for at least 2 years associated or not with arterial hypertension; use of insulin; have a fixed telephone line or a cellular telephone for personal use.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Cognitive deficit reported by the participant or family member that makes it impossible to respond directly to the instruments of data collection, if it is a health professional who applies insulin and reports having a hearing or speech problem.

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
The outcome considered will be the improvement (intervention group) in the response of at least one question from the post-test instrument on insulin use. To guarantee reliability in the measurement of the outcome, there will be blinding by the nurses and other professionals of the health establishment.
