Age
60 Years to 100 Years

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Individuals 60 years of age or older; able to practice the proposed activities and evaluations; availability to participate in activities twice a week; absence of medical contraindications to the exercises; signing of the Term of Free Consent and Enlightened.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Inability to maintain standing and gait posture; which is necessary for the performance of the tests; with neurological disorders; urinary or fecal incontinence, renal insufficiency; infectious diseases, use of probes; vascular thrombus or heart failure; individuals With uncontrolled blood pressure; minimal exertion dyspnea, dementia; participation in 80% of the treatment; participation in another program of physical activity and physiotherapy.

Expected outcome1: Increase of peak torque of knee extensors and flexors verified by isokinetic knee evaluation after the intervention period with a isokinetic dinamometer. A from the observation of a variation of at least 10% in the pre and post intervention measurements.;Expected outcome 2: Decreased body oscillation in the assessment of postural balance with the force platform in the standing upright posture after the intervention period. A from the observation of a variation of at least 10% in the pre and post intervention measurements.;Expected outcome 3: Improvement in the execution of functional tests, evaluated through the Timed Up and Go (TUG), for the TUG will run the test faster, getting out of the chair, skirting the cone and returning the chair in less time. A from the observation of a variation of at least 5% in the pre and post intervention measurements.;Expected outcome 4: Improved performance of performance tests assessed through the Sit to Stand (STS) test, for the STS will more often perform the sit and stand movement during the 30 second evaluation. A from the observation of a variation of at least 5% in the pre and post intervention measurements.;Expected outcome 5: Improved performance of performance tests assessed by means of the Berg Balance Escale (BBE), ie for BBE will score more in the assessment items, will stay longer in balance.
