Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: Adult women aged 20 to 55 years; excess weight (equal or greater than 27 kg/m2), high waist circumference (equal or greater than 80 cm), and excess body fat (equal or greater than 32%) associated with at least one other cardiometabolic risk: triglycerides equal or greater than 150 mg/dL, prehypertension (equal or greater than 130 and/or 85 mmHg for systolic and diastolic arterial pressures, respectively) or fasting glycemia equal or greater than 100 mg/dL; or obesity (equal or greater than 30 kg/m2), high waist circumference (equal or greater than 80 cm), and excess body fat (equal or greater than 32%).
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: Pregnant women, nursing mothers, or women in menopause; athletes; vegans; smokers; with a history of HIV, illness or digestive, liver, kidney, cardiovascular, thyroid, cancer, inflammatory diseases and eating disorders; history of drug and / or alcohol abuse; aversion or allergy to nuts; infectious episode in the last month; use of anti-inflammatory drugs, corticosteroids, antibiotics and others that may affect energy appetite and metabolism; weight instability (5% of usual weight) in the last 3 months; usual consumption of nuts greater than 30 g/day; alcohol consumption greater than 21 units (168g) per week; dental problems that interfere with chewing; consumption of vitamin, mineral and omega 3 supplements.

| Expected outcome 2: The consumption of a mix containing cashew nuts and brazil nuts associated with a hypocaloric diet will increase the postprandial metabolic rate (accessed by calorimetry), by at least 5% compared to the control (hypocaloric diet free of nuts). All analyses will be performed at the end of the study.;Expected outcome 3: The consumption of a mix containing cashew nuts and brazil nuts associated with a hypocaloric diet will reduce appetite and increase satiety (evaluated by means of questionnaires of Visual Analog Scale), contributing to a reduction in habitual food intake (assessed through dietary records), compared to the control (hypocaloric diet free of nuts). All analyses will be performed at the end of the study.;Expected outcome 5: The consumption of a mix containing cashew nuts and brazil nuts associated with a hypocaloric diet will increase the gene expression of sirtuin 1 (SIRT 1), compared to the control (hypocaloric diet free of nuts). All analyses will be performed at the end of the study.;Expected outcome 4: The consumption of a mix containing cashew nuts and brazil nuts associated with a hypocaloric diet will decrease pro-inflammatory markers (assessed by plasma markers: IL-6, C-reactive protein), and increase the anti-inflammatory marker (assessed by plasma marker: IL-10), compared to the control (hypocaloric diet free of nuts). All analyses will be performed at the end of the study.;Expected outcome 6: The consumption of a mix containing cashew nuts and Brazil nuts associated with a hypocaloric diet will decrease the concentrations of cardiometabolic risk markers, such as lipidic profile, apolipoproteins, and glucose, compared to the control (hypocaloric diet free of nuts).
