Age
60 Years to 99 Years

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Individuals aged 60 years and over; with mild cognitive impairment or early dementia; medical health service monitoring; who voluntarily agree to participate in the study will be considered eligible.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Exclusion criteria involve elderly patients with cardiovascular impairments; musculoskeletal or visuospatial limitations that may contraindicate or present discomfort to the exercise.

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
Cognitive ability: learning, recognition and late memory, attention, problem solving, orientation, visual and spatial skills through brief cognitive tracking battery, mini mental state examination, clock drawing test and verbal fluency test category animals

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
Brain-derived neurotrophic factor blood concentration determined by the human BDNF elisa kit (Millipore).;Lipid and glycemic profile. Serum glucose, total cholesterol, HDL cholesterol, LDL cholesterol and triglyceride analyzes will be performed by spectrophotometry and will follow the determinations of Labtest brand commercial kits.;Basic and instrumental activities of daily living through the Pfeffer questionnaire, and physical and functional parameters (muscle strength, flexibility, agility, static and dynamic balance) through the Senior Fitness Test. Aerobic capacity is assessed by the six-minute walk test.;Quality of life through SF-36 and depressive aspects through the geriatric depression scale.
